Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
(Japanese: **の*) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by
Koyoharu Gotouge. It follows Tanjiro Kamado and his sister Nezuko Kamado
as they seek a cure to Nezuko’s demon curse. Tanjiro and Nezuko become
entangled in the affairs of a secret society, known as the Demon Slayer
Corps, that have been waging a secret war against demons for centuries.
The demons are former humans who sold their humanity in exchange for
power, they feed on humans and possess super natural abilities such as
super strength, magic and regeneration.

Gyomei Himejima is a major
supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a Demon
Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps and the current Stone Hashira. Gyomei
also serves as the mentor of Genya Shinazugawa.

As a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps,
Gyomei is a very powerful swordsman. He is stated by both Tanjiro and
Inosuke Hashibira to be the strongest Demon Slayer in the entire Demon
Slayer Corps. This is further given credence by the fact that when the
Hashira meet, he always sits at the head of the group as well as Upper
Rank One, Kokushibo, who noted that Gyomei’s natural physical abilities
have been trained to their absolute peak and also stated that in the
last three hundred years, he has not encountered a warrior of Gyomei’s
caliber. He was able put up a fight against the strongest Upper Rank for
a brief time without the use of his Demon Slayer Mark, further showing
the extent of his skill. As the Stone Hashira, Gyomei utilizes a
stone-based combat style.
