Captain Hook, the hilarious Disney villain, is the pirate captain of his
ship, “he Jolly Roger,” and Peter Pan’s archrival in J. M. Barrie’s
timeless fairy tale. In “Return to Neverland” (2002) and “Jake and the
Neverland Pirates” (2011–2016), as well as in stories and cartoons from
as far back as 1953, Captain Hook serves as the enemy. His worst dread
is the “Tick Tock” of the clock that resides inside the crocodile’s
belly since it is his continuous predator, and he has an iron hook for a
hand. As a crocodile-approaching warning, Hook always listens for it! As
he sails the seas for Peter Pan, the youngster who will never grow up,
Captain Hook has many adventures.
