Over the course of the series, Wednesday develops a variety of
personalities. She is first shown as being captivated by the macabre and
death. In the first episode of the 1960s television show, she is
described as being six years old. She is kinder in the 1960s television
series, but she also enjoys playing with spiders and gave another
youngster a black eye in “The Addams Family Tree” for stating his family
was better than hers. Both families were startled that a young girl
would do that to a boy who was taller than her. She decides to leave her
parents’ house in the episode “Wednesday Leaves Home” as they forbid her
from playing with her pet spider. By the conclusion of the episode, she
is back.
